The County Auditor is a support service to the operations of St. Charles County Government. As a support service the auditor serves the County Council, County Executive, Department Directors and Elected Officials. While the County Council appointed the Auditor, which ensures independence and objectivity in the performance of work, the Auditor still has a duty to all management in the county to provide a valuable service in all areas reviewed.
